There are a number of support services available to victims of crime through the Department of Justice’s Victim Support Services site. This includes
- Financial assistance
- Trauma counselling
- Court Support and liaison Service
- Eligible Persons Register (to receive updates about offenders serving a custodial sentence)
If you are a person who has been affected by sexual violence, you may also be able to access support through the Sexual Assault Support Service (SASS).
If you are a person affected by road trauma, you may be able to access support through Road Trauma Support Tasmania.
